Manitou Opera Stakeholder Groups

Stakeholder Groups

The Opera House is proud to host a variety of unique and talented artists and community groups, each of which add significantly to the cultural milieu of our community. Here are some of the key groups utilizing our facility:

Borderline Singers

Borderline

Borderline Singers is an adult community choir composed of 25 - 30 singers who converge on Manitou Thursday evenings. Their goal is to prepare two concerts a year with a varied repertoire; both classical and contemporary, including sacred and secular numbers.

In 2010, the choir prepared a spring concert and a Christmas concert. The choir also takes part in the Manitou Community Carol Festival and in the Pembina Valley Music Festival.

Proceeds from the concerts are used to fund various local improvement projects, to support music in the schools; we have also contributed to the Canadian Food Grains Bank.
